Day 4 of 15 Days of Hope

What does hope look like? It’s a mom dreaming of a home for her children. It’s a family sharing a meal after weeks of uncertainty. It’s the joy your generosity brings to those who need it most.

You can be part of this story. With your help, we’re raising $15,000 by December 21, 2024 to bring hope to families in need.

Give today and Double the Joy!

A Holly Jolly Thank You

Santa’s got a nice list, but we’ve got the BEST list—and guess what? YOU’RE ON IT!

To our fabulous volunteers: You’re like holiday elves, making magic happen behind the scenes.

To our generous donors: Your gifts aren’t just wrapped in kindness—they’re packed with hope and joy!

To our incredible community: You’re the stars on top of our tree, shining bright and lifting us higher.

And to our amazing clients: You bring the warmth and love that makes this season so special.

This Monday, we’re decking the halls with gratitude for each and every one of you. Let’s keep spreading joy, together!Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

We are thrilled to announce a DOUBLE, DOUBLE blessing for our Double the Joy campaign! An anonymous donor has pledged to match every dollar donated, up to $1,500! That means your gift will be doubled, helping us bring twice the joy to our community this Christmas season. Every contribution supports programs like our Christmas Extravaganza and year-end giving efforts, spreading love, warmth, and hope to families and seniors in need.

Give today and make TWICE the impact!

Ten years ago, God put it on Kendall’s heart to do something to fight childhood hunger and food insecurity. It has been an amazing journey. What I love is that Kendall is as committed to her mission at age 15 as she was at age 5.

I don’t need to tell you about the squeeze that everyone is feeling at the grocery store these days. The need for those battling food insecurity is greater than it’s ever been. When you go to the store, if you grab some dry beans, rice, pasta, cereal, canned meat, veggies or fruits or any non-perishable foods, it would be a tremendous blessing to children right here in our community. If you don’t want to shop, you can give monetarily. As always, EVERY penny goes to providing meals for children. If you can’t give at all, please pray for Kendall’s Kampaign so Kendall can continue the work created for her hands and heart.

Thank you for your continued love and support.

Set the Table for 200

This Thanksgiving, Mt. Carmel Redevelopment Corporation is on a mission to bring a holiday meal—and so much more—to 200 seniors and families in need. With your help, we can fill their tables with both Thanksgiving essentials and the grocery necessities that make a difference all season long.

Just $65 provides a full Thanksgiving meal and extra grocery support to a struggling family or senior in our community.

Let’s make sure no one goes without this holiday. Help us set the table for 200! Every dollar counts, and together we can create a season of gratitude, warmth, and love.

Congratulations team MCRC on a successful 2nd annual

I AM LOVED BUT NOT FORGOTTEN Homeless Event at the Willa Gill Center

MCRC was honored to host an afternoon of fellowship with a festive baked potato bar and provide winter essentials for some of the most vulnerable individuals in Wyandotte County to kick off the fall season. The Willa Gill Multi-Purpose Center showed them that they are truly LOVED and NOT FORGOTTEN!

Congratulations to our very own MCRC Director, Pamela Smart, recipient of the 2023 Jim White Community Development Legacy Award. On Thursday, November 9th, LISC brought together changemakers from our neighborhoods, community-based organizations, corporate, philanthropic, and civic institutions who work tirelessly to empower our communities.

For over 40 years, LISC Greater Kansas City has been a convener, investor and thought-leader in our region. Since 1981, LISC has invested nearly $200 million thru grants and loans in the Kansas City market, leveraging nearly $700 million that has helped to create over 5,000 new homes and apartments and nearly 2 million square feet of community and commercial space.
